Job Description

The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a probationary 1.0 FTE Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher at Le Roy Jr./Sr. High School (Grades 7-12) beginning on September 1, 2026.  

The Jr./Sr. High School serves 550+ students in grades 7-12 and employs a dedicated staff of 70+ professionals.  Our school has a proud tradition of academic excellence, maintains high behavioral standards, and offers a diverse and expansive course catalog designed to challenge students and broaden their future opportunities.  We are seeking a candidate who will contribute positively to our school community and support student growth both academically and personally.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will provide high quality instruction aligned to New York State CTE standards and may teach within one or more of the following certification/content areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Business and Marketing
  • Computer Science
  • Family and Consumer Sciences
  • Health Sciences Education
  • Technology Education
  • Trade and Technical Education

This position is ideal for an educator who values interdisciplinary learning and is committed to preparing students for college, careers, and workforce readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction within assigned CTE content area(s)
  • Integrate real-world applications, industry standards, and career readiness skills into instruction
  • Collaborate with faculty across CTE and academic departments to enhance student learning opportunities
  • Utilize data-driven practices to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
  • Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment aligned with school expectations
  • Support and promote CTE pathways, including potential work-based learning experiences
  • Actively contribute to the school community through advisement, extracurricular involvement, and committee work

Qualifications:

  • Have a valid NYS Certification in one or more of the following areas (or eligibility):
    • Agriculture
    • Business and Marketing
    • Computer Science
    • Family and Consumer Sciences
    • Health Sciences Education
    • Technology Education
    • Trade and Technical Education
  • Strong instructional practices and classroom management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a CTE content area at the middle school level (7th and 8th grades)
  • Familiarity with career pathways, industry partnerships, or work-based learning programs
  • Experience integrating technology and project-based learning into instruction
