Job Description

The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE probationary Elementary Teacher.  A strong literacy background is preferred.

The Wolcott Street Elementary School is a building of 600 students and 80 staff members that offers a small school environment with big opportunities for our students in both academic and extracurricular areas.  We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons.  We look forward to hiring an individual that will have an immediate positive impact on our school community.

Job Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Minimally have NYS Certification in Elementary or Childhood Education
• Demonstrate a collaborative style
• Possess a deep caring for and understanding of students
• Challenge and support ALL learners
• Possess the ability to build meaningful and succsssful relationships with students, staff, parents and administration of the district
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrate a firm belief in the worth and potential of all students
• Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning
