Job Description

The Le Roy Central School District has an anticipated opening for a 1.0 FTE probationary School Nurse-RN for a ten month school year position.  Current placement is at the Le Roy Jr./Sr. High School, grades 7-12.

Job Qualifications

We are seeking an individual to join our top-notch team supporting our Jr./Sr. High School building of 600 students in grades 7-12.  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Possess a NYS RN license and hold CPR/AED certification
• Possess knowledge of pediatric nursing principles and techniques
• Possess a deep caring for and understanding of students and parents not only for their physical issues but their emotional well-being as well
• Possess the ability to build meaningful and successful relationships with students, staff, district administration, parents and the greater community
• Be able to administer first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees
• Be a liaison for students who have medical issues to help them have a positive educational experience
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills to keep accurate records of all students
• Be able to prepare and meet all state mandates, e.g., immunization requirements, vision and hearing screening, etc.
• Demonstrate a firm belief in the worth and potential of all students
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
